Dmytro Stetsiura opened for 20,00 in middle position. Michael Dick then three-bet to 65,000 in the hijack, which Rachid El Yaacoubi called in the small blind.
Stetsiura got out of the way before El Yaacoubi led out on the 9?J?8? flop. He bet 35,000 and Dick raised to 115,000. El Yaacoubi called, only to lead out again on the J? turn, this time for 200,000.
Dick was going nowhere and called. The 5? river was then checked by both. El Yaacoubi showed the 5? for a pair of fives. Dick insisted on seeing the other card, which was the 6?.
Dick then celebrated loudly as he tabled his K?K? for an overpair and took down the sizable pot.
Cristian Visoiu opened to 20,000 from middle position and was called by Dariusz Marcinkowski on the button before Eyal Bensimhon moved all in for around 380,000 from the small blind. Viktor Blom then re-shoved for around 730,000 from the big blind and Visoiu went into the tank.
Visoiu burned through two time banks before mucking his hand and Marcinkowski quickly folded afterwards leaving Bensimhon at risk against Blom.
Eyal Bensimhon: A?J?
Viktor Blom: A?A?
Bensimhon was drawing dead by the turn on the 4?5?6?Q?9? runout and he made his exit from the tournament area while Blom took the pot, bringing his stack to over 1,000,000.
Cristian Visoiu mentioned to his tablemates after the hand that he had folded pocket queens.
Stanislav Zegal opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and was called by Pavel Svach on the button before Niklas Astedt squeezed to 90,000 from the small blind. Zegal got out of the way while Svach made the call.
The flop came 2?3?8? and Astedt fired a 75,000 continuation-bet that was called by Svach.
Astedt fired another barrel for 150,000 on the K? turn and once again Svach made the call.
On the A? river Astedt bet 250,000 and Svach snap-called.
Astedt was bluffing with Q?7? while Svach had rivered a wheel straight with 5?4? to take down a colossal pot while making a serious dent in Astedt's stack.
Dariusz Marcinkowski moved all in from the cutoff and Daniel Lakerveld called for 33,000 in the big blind.
Daniel Lakerveld: 9?8?
Dariusz Marcinkowski: A?2?
Lakerveld didn't have to sweat out the double up for long as the 10?7?6? flop gave him a straight. The rest of the board ran out 4?8? to lock up the pot.
Alex Foxen opened to 20,000 from under the gun and called when Andrea Ricci three-bet to 70,000 from the cutoff.
Foxen check-called for 40,000 on the A?7?5? flop, bringing in the 9? turn. Foxen check-jammed over a bet of 140,000 and Ricci snap-called to set up a more than one million chip pot.
Alex Foxen: 7?7?
Andrea Ricci: A?A?
Both players flopped a set, but Ricci's superior three-of-a-kind left Foxen drawing to one out. The 5? river improved both players to a full house but it wasn't the card Foxen needed and he headed out of the tournament room while Ricci took the chip lead.
Boris Angelov, who was at the table, said Foxen started the hand with around 500,000 to 550,000, meaning Foxen's all-in was north of 400,000.
On the table behind, fellow high roller Viktor Blom also chipped down after dropping a pot. With around 210,000 in the middle on the 9?5?2?7?9? board, Eyal Bensimhon fired out 110,000 from the big blind. Blom used up a time bank before conceding the pot.
Heads-up on a flop of 8?3?J?, Daniel Koloszar bet 16,000 from the button, Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi raised to 51,000 in the small blind, and Koloszar called.
Ohulchanskyi checked the A? turn and Koloszar bet 125,000. Ohulchanskyi called and both players checked the 3? river. Ohulchanskyi showed down K?J? for a pair of jacks to win the pot.
At another table, Salih Atac was down to around 50,000 and moved all in from early position as Andreas Eiler called in the small blind.
Salih Atac: A?3?
Andreas Eiler: A?Q?
Eiler hit top pair on the Q?J?5? flop and Atac was already leaving the table when the 2? turn gave him some outs to a straight. Atac missed the 8? river and Eiler scored the knockout.
On a flop of Q?2?8?, Anson Tsang bet 18,000 from middle position and Diego Montone check-raised to 40,000 from the big blind. Tsang called.
Montone checked the 8? turn and Tsang bet 45,000. Montone put in his second check-raise, this time to 150,000. Tsang used two of his time extensions before sliding in the call.
Montone checked again on the 2? river and Tsang bet roughly 160,000. Montone snap-folded.
