Huge Double Up for Menhardt

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was around 100,000 in the middle already and the dealer fanned the flop of {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Julian Menhardt started with a check from the small blind and Warwick Mirzikinian tossed in a bet of 45,000 in the big blind. Nicola Angelini raised to 115,000 on the button and Menhardt jammed all in for 229,000. Mirzikinian folded and Angelini made the call.

Julian Menhardt: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Nicola Angelini: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Menhardt had a comfortable lead with a set of deuces but the {q-Spades} on the turn provided a sweat as Angelini picked up some outs. The {j-Hearts} on the river was safe for Menhardt who earned himself a double up.
