Burns Rivers a Straight

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Simon Burns raised it up to 3,500 in the hijack and was called by Rifat Palevic on the button and Daniel Negreanu in the small blind. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Negreanu checked to Burns who bet 4,000. Palevic folded and Negreanu check-raised to 12,000 which Burns called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Negreanu tossed in a small bet of 8,000. Burns still called and the {7-Diamonds} landed on the river. Negreanu made another relatively small bet of 12,000. Burns quickly called and Negreanu turned over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for two pair. Burns showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for a rivered straight and was awarded the pot.
