Peck Doubles Through Kurbel

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Catalin Diac opened to 1,800 and Jeremy Hyman called, followed by David Kurbel on the button. Vladimir Peck, in the small blind, decided to raise to 20,000, leaving him with only one chip of 100 behind. It folded back to Kurbel who tanked and asked "Do you have a pocket pair?" to Peck, who told him yes. Kurbel ended up calling.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Peck put his last chip in the middle, called by Kubel. Peck revealed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} while Kurbel held {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

The turn {8-Hearts}and river {k-Spades} didn't change anything and Peck doubled up.
