Schwippert Doubles With the Nuts

Level 9 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert opened to 115,000 from middle position and Ryan Riess three-bet to 350,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Schwippert called.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades} and both Schwippert and Riess knocked on the table to check.

The {J-Diamonds} was the turn and Schwippert checked to Riess. Riess put in 500,000 and Schwippert called.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Schwippert checked again. Riess took a couple minutes but eventually moved a big stack of 100,000 chips to the middle, covering Schwippert. Schwippert called within a second for his last 1,445,000.

Riess opened up {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, but that was no good against the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of Schwippert who had turned the nuts.
