Addamo Makes Rudolph Fold

Level 21 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Christian Rudolph raised to 480,000 from mid-position with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and was called by Michael Addamo in the cutoff with {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Rainer Kempe defended his big blind with {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, Kempe checked, Rudolph bet 630,000 and Addamo called while Kempe folded.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} keeping Rudolph ahead with the pair of kings but Addamo picked up the straight draw. Rudolph checked and Addamo now took over the initiative by leading out for 900,000. Rudolph considered his options before opting to fold in the end.
