Caranica Doubles Up

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Philipp Caranica
Philipp Caranica

Hand #38: Philipp Caranica raised to 200,000 with {a-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, Martin Kabrhel shoved for 4,365,000 with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Caranica called with his tournament life at stake as he had the smaller stack with 1,905,000 chips.

The flop came {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Kabrhel was still safe as his sevens were still good.

The {4-Spades} on the turn meant that even though Kabrhel was still good for now, any three, ace or queen would mean that Caranica would double up for a big chunk of Kabrhel's stack.

The {3-Spades} on the river was just the card Caranica needed to win the hand and double up.
