Hellmuth Straightens Out Baranov

Sergii Baranov, frustrated at Phil Hellmuth.
Sergii Baranov, frustrated at Phil Hellmuth.

Sergii Baranov raised to 40,000 from middle position and received a call from Phil Hellmuth in the cutoff. Paul Tedeschi then three-bet to 95,000 from the small blind, two calls ensued, and the flop fell {4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Tedeschi checked, Baranov bet 131,000, and only Hellmuth called.

When the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}, Baranov check-called a bet of 100,000 and the {A-Hearts} was put out on the river. Again Baranov check-called a bet, this time 300,000, but was left shaking his head when Hellmuth said, "Straight," and tabled {5-Spades}{6-Spades}.
