You're Under the Gun (So You Take it On the Run)

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #74: Brian Roberts had the button. Under the gun, Jake Cody raised to 100,000 to take the blinds and antes.

Hand #75: Elio Fox had the button. Shawn Buchanan raised to 110,000 under the gun, and Chris Moorman asked him how much he was playing. Moorman folded, though, but Brian Roberts capped his cards with a chip to think it over. He opted to make a three-bet to 250,000, and that folded the table back to Buchanan. He popped it back to 575,000, and Roberts turned his eyes upward and shot an intense glare across the table. After another minute or two, though, he surrendered and let Buchanan have it.

Hand #76: Dermot Blain had the button. It's three under-the-gun raises in a row now as Moritz Kranich made it 105,000 to go. Folds all around, and Kranich will take this one.

Hand #77: Jake Cody had the button, and that meant Chris Moorman was under the gun. Make that four in a row; Moorman executed the raise-and-take without incident.

Hand #78: Shawn Buchanan had the button. Clearly not paying attention to the trend, Brian Roberts folded under the gun, and Jake Cody made it 100,000 to go from the cutoff seat. He took it down right there.

Hand #79: Moritz Kranich had the button, and our UTG trend resumed. Elio Fox raised to 110,000 first to act, but it would not sneak through. Brian Roberts defended his big blind, and the dealer spread out {4-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. Roberts tapped the table, and Fox continued out with another 130,000. Roberts threw a blue plaque in and added the extra 30,000 to call, and the turn came the {5-Clubs}. Roberts checked again, and Fox studied for just a moment before checking it back. The river {8-Clubs} put the flush on board, and Roberts was eying up betting chips. He slid out a small bet of 120,000, and Fox quickly called. Roberts showed {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} -- playing the board -- and Fox's {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts} earned him the pot.
