Trevillian's Big River Bet Doesn't Work Out

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action was on a flop of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and action checked to Sam Higgs who was on the button in a three-way pot. He put out a bet of 6,500. Jason Pritchard was in the big blind and he called. Brett Trevillian was in the cutoff and he called as well.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and all three players checked this time.

When the {J-Spades} hit the river, Pritchard checked. Trevillian put out a monster bet of 30,000. Higgs thought for a long time before eventually calling. Pritchard thought for a bit, then folded. Trevillian didn't want to turn over his hand, indicating that he was bluffing. Higgs was forced to show his {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} by the dealer in order to take down the pot.

With that, Higgs moved to almost 100,000 after the hand while Trevillian dropped to just over 30,000.
