Hein Scores Unlikely Knockout

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After a raise by a player in early position, Hans Joachim Hein three-bet to 13,500 out of the small blind and the initial raiser pushed forward most of his stack for 50,000 with very few chips behind. Hein moved all in and received a snap-call.

Once the cards were tabled, Hein shook his head as the German trailed with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} against {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. However, the {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop delivered a flush draw and the {8-Clubs} turn improved Hein to a flush. A king or eight would see the player at risk double, but instead it was the {10-Clubs} river that sealed his fate.
