Dimitar Popov

Dimitar Popov was left short after a clash once the redraw of the last three tables was completed, and he raised the pot from under the gun with 30,000 behind. Both Alexey Rybin in the small blind and Dan Smith in the big blind called and the flop came {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}. Rybin and Smith called and Popov moved all in.

"How much?" Rybin asked and Popov joked back "too much." Rybin called the shove and Smith raised to 175,000, picking up a call by Rybin. The two remaining players checked the {9-Hearts} turn and Rybin also checked the {8-Hearts} river.

Smith bet 350,000 and Rybin quickly called. "I was bluffing," Smith replied and rolled over his cards in {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Rybin had that beat with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a straight and Popov showed {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} to join the rail in 23rd place for $42,393.
