Krasienko Doubles Through Mercier

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Michael Krasienko and Jason Mercier got all of their chips into the middle with Krasienko holding {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and Mercier tabled {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The board ran out {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}, and Krasienko made a bigger flush to double through Mercier. Mercier was left with just 28,000.

In the next hand, Mercier moved all in from the small blind and was called by Ben Tollerene, in the big blind, and the player under the gun, who had limped preflop. The flop came {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and both players checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Tollerene bet 43,000, and his opponent folded.

Mercier had a big hand with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-}, but Tollerene turned the nuts with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The river was the {k-Spades}, giving no help to Mercier, and he was eliminated.
