Mon Gets Paid with Aces Up

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Samoeun Mon completed with an ace, and John Sorgen, who had an ace out, as well, came along. Jared Bleznick joined the contest with a six.

Bleznick bet on fourth street with two low cards and carried on with betting on fifth when he paired his deuce. Both players kept calling. On sixth street, Bleznick led out one more time, but it remained three ways to the river. Then, all players checked.

Jared Bleznick: {X-}{X-} / {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} / {X-}
John Sorgen: {X-}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} / {X-}
Samoeun Mon: {X-}{X-} / {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / {X-}

"Two pair," Bleznick announced, but Mon quickly replied, "Aces up," adding some animalistic sounds. Mon turned up his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} to prove his statement, and both of his opponents mucked.

Morgen is now down to 100,000.

Stud Hi-Lo

Smith Sirisakorn had the bring-in and John Sorgen completed. Sirisakron called and then bet fourth with Sorgen calling before Sirisakorn was all in on fifth for his last 22,000 with Sorgen calling. Each player's board ran out as follows:

Sirisakorn: {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} / {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{K-Spades} / {9-Diamonds}
Sorgen: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} / {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts} / {6-Diamonds}

With Sirisakorn making just a pair of sixes, he doubled through to nearly 200,000 in chips.

Tull Takes from Sirisakorn

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Larry Tull had the bring-in, and Smith Sirisakorn completed. Tull called, then called bets on fourth and fifth streets before both players checked sixth.

Tull: {X-}{X-} / {4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} / {X-}
Sirisakorn: {X-}{X-} / {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Hearts} / {X-}

On seventh, Sirisakorn bet 60,000, and Tull called.

"Pair of threes!" announced Sirisakorn.

Tull tabled {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for queens up, and he scooped the pot to move to 1.2 million. Sirisakorn dropped to 90,000.

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Jameson Painter had the bring-in, and Jared Bleznick completed. Painter called, then called a bet on fourth street before both players checked fifth. Painter bet sixth, and Bleznick called.

Painter: {X-}{X-} / {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {X-}
Bleznick: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} / {X-}

Both players checked seventh, and Painter tabled his {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for two pair. Bleznick flashed a pair of aces and folded.

Barry Greenstein Eliminated in 7th Place ($23,595)

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jared Bleznick raised from under the gun, earning a call from Jameson Painter. Barry Greenstein was in the big blind, calling off his last 36,000.

Bleznick checked the flop in the dark, and Painter wasn't interested in growing the side pot either. They continued toward the {5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} turn where Bleznick led out and Painter called. Bleznick then fired again on the {A-Spades} river, and Painter paid the price again.

Barry Greenstein: {A-}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Jared Bleznick: {2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Jameson Painter: {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Bleznick had a low with his deuce-four, while Painter held ace-ten for two pair. They chopped the side pot and also chopped Greenstein's chips, as the three-time bracelet winner couldn't catch up.

Painter Takes Half Multiway

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Larry Tull raised to 60,000 from under the gun, and both Smith Sirisakorn and Jameson Painter called in the blinds.

The {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} flop was checked through before Sirisakorn bet 60,000 when the turn landed the {2-Clubs}. Painter called, as did Tull before the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Sirisakorn bet 60,000, Painter called, and Tull raised to 120,000. Both Sirisakorn and Painter called.

Painter tabled his {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a full house to take the high, as Sirisakorn's {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Tull's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} chopped the low.

Bonnie Rossi Eliminated in 8th Place ($17,760)

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Bonnie Rossi
Bonnie Rossi

Omaha Hi-Lo

What started with Smith Sirisakorn's limp from under the gun ended up in a massive clash in which Bonnie Rossi was eliminated. However, she acted only as a sparring partner in the hand, while Sirisakorn and Jared Bleznick went to war.

After Sirisakorn's limp, Rossi completed from the small blind, and Bleznick checked his option. The fireworks began on the {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop. Rossi bet, Bleznick raised, and Sirisakorn three-bet. Rossi called off for 52,000 total anyway. Bleznick called, as well.

The fight for the side pot continued on the {8-Hearts} turn where Bleznick check-raised. Sirisakorn was ready for the next round and called.

The river {4-Clubs} was a brick, but Bleznick and Sirisakorn were still firing. Bleznick bet, Sirisakorn raised and Bleznick reraised. Sirisakorn sighed and called the three-bet.

Bonnie Rossi: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Smith Sirisakorn: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Jared Bleznick: {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Rossi knew she had only a role of the nearest spectator, but the showdown between Sirisakorn and Bleznick was a sick one. Bleznick turned a straight flush while Sirisakorn spiked the ace-high flush.

The giant pot improved Bleznick to roughly 1.9 million as the play continued seven-handed.

Rossi Triples

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Bonnie Rossi was all in on the big blind for her last 23,000. Jared Bleznick raised to 50,000 and Larry Tull called.

Rossi began to reveal her hand before realizing that Bleznick had a customer in Tull. Bleznick commented that he did see Rossi's hand and announced the cards. The tournament director then forced Rossi to show her hand to reveal {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

The dealer spread a {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop and Rossi stated, "End it right there!"

Both Bleznick and Tull checked, and then checked down the {2-Diamonds} and {4-Clubs} on the turn and river.

Bleznick tabled his {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to take the side pot, as Rossi took the main pot to triple up to 82,000 in chips.
