Sam Soverel Pulls Off a Bluff Against Adam Owen

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Sam Soverel, who has a WSOP bracelet from $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha last year, just got a bluff through.

Action folded to Adam Owen on the button, and he raised to 525. The small blind folded, and Sam Soverel raised to 1,550 in the big blind. Owen called, and Soverel said he meant to make it 1,650.

The flop came {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and Soverel bet 1,000. Owen called, and the turn was the {8-Hearts}. Soverel bet 5,100 this time, and as Owen was thinking, Soverel commented that now he wished he had put in the extra 100 preflop. Owen called. The river was the {3-Clubs}, and Soverel went all in for his remaining stack of 2,700. Owen folded, and Soverel immediately said, "Nothing," and showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} before raking in the pot.
