Ace on the River

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Action folded to Morten Mortensen in the cutoff, and he opened to 5,500. The button opted to fold, but bracelet winner Simeon Naydenov in the small blind was planning on playing a bit bigger. He bumped the action to 18,200 with just over 56,000 behind. The big blind folded, and action was back on Mortensen. The Dane tanked for a bit before he moved all in. Naydenov called.

Simeon Naydenov: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Morten Mortensen: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The flop ({9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}) and turn ({3-Spades}) didn't do much, but the {A-Clubs} on the river made all the difference for the player from Bulgaria. Naydenov doubled his 74,400-chip stack, Mortensen was left with 41,700.
