Today sees the start of Event #87: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

Last year��s event attracted 813 entries generating a prize pool of $3,739,800. The winner was Alex Keating who defeated Guoliang Wei heads up to win $701,688 and his first WSOP bracelet.

This two-day event gets underway at 2 p.m. local time with late registration open for 12 levels (~8:45 p.m.). This event allows for one reentry and there will be 15-minute breaks every four levels.

The starting stack is 50,000 chips with the plan for Day 1 to play 20 30-minute levels. For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, and plays down to a winner.
