Small River Bet Does the Trick for Kornuth

Level 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Chance Kornuth opened 240,000 in the cutoff and Mike Leah called on the button.

When the K?Q?7? flop hit the felt, Kornuth check-called a bet of 250,000 from Leah.

The 5? turn was checked through to see the J? on the river. Kornuth led for just over a big blind as he dropped 130,000 across the line and Leah mucked his hand.

Xiaoyao Ma Eliminated in 5th Place ($39,428)

Level 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Xiaoyao Ma
Xiaoyao Ma

Xiaoyao Ma jammed for 1,035,000 from the hijack and the action folded to Mike Leah in the big blind. Leah peeled one card as he announced he had a 'four-side', meaning a nine or a ten. He looked at his second card and then told the table he'll need a minute. About 40 seconds passed as he eyed the other stacks on the table and eventually made the call.

Xiaoyao Ma: K?J? All in
Mike Leah: K?10?

"I knew it was close," Leah said as he saw the cards.

The A?5?2? flop changed nothing, but the 10? turn was a money card for Leah as he paired his ten and picked up a flush draw. The A? paired the board on the river, and Ma stood up from the table.

Level 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth raised to 200,000 from the cutoff. Mike Leah three-bet to 700,000 from the button. Kormuth called and they headed to the flop.

Kornuth check-called a bet of 525,000 on the 4?9?Q? flop.

Both players checked the 10? turn to see the Q? hit the river. The action checked through again and Kornuth announced "three pair" to which Leah responded with "me too". Kornuth turned over 10?9? for queens and tens, which won him the pot as Leah mucked, much to the amusement of the table.

Thanarattrakul Takes From Ma

Level 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Mike Leah raised to 225,000 from the hijack. Xiaoyao Ma called on the button, and Kannapong Thanarattrakul defended out of the big blind.

Action checked to Ma on the A?7?10? flop, and he bet 275,000. Thanarattrakul called, but Leah folded.

Both players checked the 2? on the turn to see the 3? appear on the river. Thanarattrakul fired out a bet of 1,000,000, and Ma snap-called. Thanarattrakul showed 6?4? for a flush to win the pot.

Ian Hamilton Eliminated in 7th Place ($22,213)

Level 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ian Hamilton
Ian Hamilton

The action folded around to Xiaoyao Ma in the small blind and he announced all-in. Ian Hamilton looked down as his cards in the big blind and snap-called his 660,000.

Ian Hamilton: K?J? All in
Xiaoyao Ma: 9?8?

The 10?9?2? flop gave Ma a pair to take the lead but Hamilton still had plenty of outs with a gutshot straight draw and two over cards. However, the 3? turn and A? river were no help as he exited the tournament in seventh place.
