Saliba Left on Fumes, Then Doubles

Level 19 : Limits 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Justin Saliba
Justin Saliba

Justin Saliba was in the big blind and drew one as Phil Ivey took two under the gun. Saliba then bet and Ivey called.

Both players took the same cards on the second draw and checked. They each took one on the third draw and Saliba bet.

Ivey called. "This is so sick," Saliba said as he mucked. Ivey showed Qx5x4x3x2x as he took the pot.

Left with just 100,000, Saliba was all in against Ivey the next hand. Saliba patted the last two draws, while Ivey took one.

Saliba ended up with 9x7x5x3x2x while Ivey was showing 8x7x6x3x. Ivey let Saliba draw his last card, which was a nine as Ivey finished with a worse nine and Saliba doubled up.
