Soma Chipping Up; Pantaleo Busted

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

French poker pro Leo Soma, who won his first WSOP bracelet playing this very event in 2022, has had a good start. He has almost tripled up his starting stack to 140 big blinds at the current level.

In a recent hand before the blinds went up, he eliminated German player Giuseppe Pantaleo.

Pantaleo opened under the gun five-handed to 900, Soma three bet from the small blind to 3,800. Pantaleo called.

The flop came 6?3?9?, Soma bet out 4,500. Pantaleo announced all in and Soma quickly called.

Giuseppe Pantaleo: K?9?All in
Leo Soma: Q?Q?

The turn and river were the 5? and the 6?, respectively, and Pantaleo was out.
