The initial objective for the remaining players is to make it into the money and with 74 places being paid it means that 25 of the Day 1 survivors will leave empty-handed. A min-cash of $9,141 awaits those fortunate enough to make the money, but all eyes will be firmly locked on the top prize of $408,468. There are still seven Main Event winners in the field, meaning an additional $10,000 Main Event buy-in bounty will be claimed by whoever manages to eliminate Dan Harrington, Jamie Gold, Daniel Weinman, Huck Seed, Greg Merson, Joe McKeehen, and the aforementioned Nguyen.
The plan today is to play through ten 60-minute levels with the blinds resuming at Level 16 (4,000/8,000/8,000) and the average stack sitting at just shy of 250,000 (31 big blinds).
