The flop came 2?3?2?, and Macdonald led out for 2,000. His opponent made the call to the turn.

While the turn peeled off the A?, Macdonald fired for 2,500. The opposing player again made the call.

The river was the A?, and Macdonald increased his sizing to 6,500. Early position took their time before making the fold for Macdonald to scoop the pot.

The player on the button raised to 1,000 and was three-bet by Ren Lin to 3,000 from the small blind. Action folded back to Lin's opponent, who called.

Lin continued for 2,000 on the J?5?4? flop and the button called.

The 6? came on the turn and Lin sized up for a bet of 10,000. His opponent again called.

Lin shoved on the 10? river, which was enough to put his opponent all in for their last 40,000.

"It's gonna take a minute" Lin's opponent said. "I guess it's a cooler."

After a couple minutes of tanking he stuck in a call and Lin showed K?Q? for a flopped flush. His opponent showed he held 4?4? for a set and wish his table good luck as he exited the tournament area.

The "Poker Brat" showed up for the Day 1d session as P. T. Barnum from The Greatest Showman and was accompanied by his pet lion and aptly nicknamed Dan "Jungleman" Cates.

The reception to Hellmuth's arrival was warmer this summer, a stark contrast from the chorus of boos that greeted him last year.

Hinkle Wasn't Sure if He Was Bluffing

Mason Hinkle bet 11,000 from late position on a 4?3?5? and Allen Li-Xin Shen called from the button.

When the turn came 3?, Hinkle put all 27,700 of his remaining chips in the middle. Shen tanked for three minutes, separating out the calling chips, and then putting them back in his stack as he stared down Hinkle and the flop.

Eventually he released and asked Hinkle if he had been bluffing. "As you were thinking about the call," replied Hinkle, "I wasn't sure if I was bluffing or had the best hand."

Moorman and Palmer Can't Get Away From One Another

PokerNews was waved over to the table as Josh Palmer explained "That he was sitting to the left of Chris Moorman in the main event. He saw Moorman playing the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo online bracelet event and decided to join him." Little did he know, he would be sat in the exact same seat position online right next to Moorman. Soon after, Palmer went on to bust Moorman from the online event.

Both players are currently short of starting stack but hope to chip up before making it to Day 2 of the Main Event. With lots of tournament left to play, PokerNews will be keeping an eye on these two players throughout the day.

Following a successful Grand Prix Turbo Series Montreal earlier this month, Global Poker announced that it will run the Summer Series IV right in time for all of the summer's poker action.

The Summer Series IV will take place June 26-July 9 and will feature several Gold and Sweeps Coins events. The series will have GC 630,000,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Gold Coin trophies and SC 1,260,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Sweeps Coin trophies.

The biggest draw of the series will be the GC and SC Main Events on July 9, which will feature respective guarantees of GC 630,000,000 and SC 1,260,000 across four events. The Prog Bounty, Super Deep Main Events will kicks things off before the regular Super Deep Main Events later in the evening.
