Qiu on Wrong End of Cooler

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Picking up the action on the river, Chang Qiu from under the gun was involved in a hand with Wayne Nicholsen in the big blind. With the board reading Q?7?Q?3?3?, Nicholsen checked. Qiu counted out a bet of 31,000, leaving herself not much more behind. Nicholsen responded by raising to 71,000, enough to force his opponent all in.

After some thought Qiu, called off for her tournament life, turning over A?Q? for the full house. It was no good, however, as Nicholsen held Q?7? for the better boat to send Qiu to the rail in brutal fashion.

Elsewhere, another former WSOP Main Event champion bit the dust as Joe McKeehen was seen exiting the tournament area.
