James Takes Two From Anderson

Level 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Francis Anderson and Jason James tangled twice, once before the level change and again afterwards.

The first hand saw James open to 500,000 and Anderson defend his big blind to the Q?Q?7? flop. Anderson checked and called when James continued for 500,000.

The 8? turn saw Anderson check again, this time folding once James fired 1,000,000.

After the blinds were raised, Anderson opened to 600,000 on the button. James responded from the big blind by three-betting to 1,400,000.

Anderson took some time before mucking his hand, as James added more chips to his stack.

Nadal Doubles Through Ventura

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Jose Nadal
Jose Nadal

Diego Ventura raised to 500,000 from early position and Jose Nadal moved all in for 1,575,000 from late position and, after some deliberation, Ventura made the call.

Jose Nadal: Q?Q?
Diego Ventura: 10?9?

The 4?10?J? flop would bring a bit of a sweat for the two players, and the 7? turn increased the number of outs for Ventura, however the 4? on the river locked up the much-needed double for Nadal.

Louie Torres

Thomas Kysar raised to 1,000,000 from early position and Louie Torres moved all-in for 4,950,000 from the big blind.

Kysar made the call and the cards were on their backs.

Louie Torres: K?K?
Thomas Kysar: A?Q?

Torres was in good shape to score the double, but fell far behind Kysar on the 10?8?A? flop.

The 2? turn would leave Torres with only one available king and the 5? on the river would send the him to the payout desk.

Louie Torres opened to 500,000 from early position and Jimmy Setna reshoved all in for 1,800,000 from the button, with Torres making the quick call.

Jimmy Setna: A?K?
Louie Torres: A?A?

It was a cooler for Setna, who would find little additional help on the 10?8?2? flop, but the J? turn did provide a bit of a sweat.

However, the brick 2? on the river secured the elimination and sent Setna to the payout desk.
