Farnes Pips Zolotow

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Steve Zolotow
Steve Zolotow

Steve Zolotow raised to 5,500 from the hijack and received a call from Raul Manzanares on the button. Jeffrey Farnes, who made the main event final table last year, three-bet to 20,500 from the small blind and Zolotow moved all in for roughly 50,000. Monzanares got out of the way and Farnes quickly made the call to put Zolotow at risk.

Steve Zolotow: A?J?
Jeffrey Farnes: A?Q?

Zolotow was in bad shape against Farnes who had a bigger ace. He failed to improve when the board ran out 6?8?2?10?K? and was sent to the rail while Farnes dragged in a nice early pot.
