Robert Massman Eliminated in 11th Place ($9,613)
Seeing that big blind Robert Massman was getting desperately low in chips, Brad Ruben raised enough from the small blind to put him all in. Massman called and put his tournament life on the line.
Massman stood pat and Ruben drew two. Massman placed his lifeline face up, Jx10x8x6x4x, with Ruben drawing to 8x5x2x. Ruben caught two of the exact cards he needed, a ten and a nine, and Massman's improbable and inspiring run came to an end.
Nicknamed "the Razzman", the longtime California lowball specialist applied those wiles to outlasting a field stocked full of WSOP Main Event Champions, Hall of Famers, and multiple bracelet winners to make a triumphant return to the World Series of Poker. We hope to see him in the field on Friday when Event #69: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Championship gets underway Friday.
