Set Over Set Propels Dalberth to One of the Top Stacks

Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Michael Dalberth opened to 115,000 from early position and was called by Edward Pierce in the small blind.

Both players checked the 9?3?2? flop.

The 5? on the turn brought forth straight and flush possibilities and this time Pierce check-called a bet from Dalberth for 215,000.

The river 6? completed the four card straight and Dalberth moved all in after being checked to by Pierce, putting Pierce to the test.

Pierce decided to make the call and saw the bad news.

Michael Dalberth: 9?9?
Edward Pierce: 3?3?

It was a cooler for Pierce, as his set of threes would go up in flames to the set of nines for Dalberth, giving Dalberth the full double and one of the top stacks in the tournament.
