Knight Sheers Lamb, Leaves Him Bare
Omaha Hi-Lo
PokerNews picked up the action when a player not involved came up and said there was a "weird" hand going down at their table.
As relayed to us, action pre-flop was that Jesse Knight raised in the small blind and got called by Ben Lamb in the big blind.
The flop came A?4?4? and Knight checked to Lamb who tossed out a bet. Knight came back with a check-raise and Lamb called to send the pair to the A? turn.
Knight led this time and faced a raise from Lamb, which Knight called to see the A? fall on the river. Knight led with a bet that would have put Lamb all in and Lamb went into the tank.
PokerNews showed up after the river bet while Lamb tanked and while running through the hand, he could be heard saying, "This is a weird spot."
After 3 minutes or so, Lamb eventually released his hand, conceding the pot to Knight and leaving himself only 21,000 to work with.
The two immediately agreed that it was the "worst runout ever" as Knight showed Kx6xXxXx.
Lamb said that he had the Qx6x in his hand and would have lost either way which just goes to show how far above the rim the players are when events like this get deep.
Lamb, unfortunately, left the ultimate leveling war with next to nothing remaining and will be looking for a spot to double up in the immediate future.
