Matusow Pushes Matur Out, Negreanu Makes Eight-Seven

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 0 ante

Mike Matusow raised and Sumir Mathur called from the big blind. Mathur drew two and Matusow took one. Mathur check-called a bet from Matusow and drew two again on the second draw. Matusow stood pat and bet when Mathur checked after the draw. Mathur quickly folded and Matusow took the early Day 2 pot.

On another table, Ryan Leng raised from the cutoff and then called when Daniel Negreanu three-bet from the small blind. Negreanu drew two and Leng drew one before Negreanu check-called a bet.

Negreanu took two again on the second draw and Leng stuck with one. Both players checked and took the same number of cards on the third draw. Negreanu fired a bet and turned over 8x7x6x4x2x for the #15 when Leng called. Leng mucked the losing hand and Negreanu dragged another pot.
