Keller's Connectors Connect Big

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With the big blind already all in preflop, Christopher Keller moved all his chips into the center from the button on a 2?Q?7? flop, and the small blind called, putting his stack in jeopardy.

Christopher Keller: 8?8?7?7?
Small Blind: A?A?10?K?
Big Blind: K?Q?10?3?

With the blinds possessing only back door or runner-runner outs, Keller's flopped set was fully in command, and the 5? sealed the deal, sending both blinds to the exits. A tablemate needled Keller for calling the preflop all in. "You gotta love those paired, double suited connectors," Keller explained. "I knew they had overs," he continued. And when the other player still didn't seem convinced he added, "Plus, I was on the button."
