In a heads-up pot with 36,000 in the middle on a flop showing A?9?4?, Boris Kolev checked from the small blind to Randall Emmett in the big blind who bet out 12,000. Kolev tossed in chips for the call and the pair saw the A? turn.
Kolev checked a second time and Emmett tapped the table to check back. On the J? river Kolev checked again and Randall slid out a bet of 30,000. Kolev pondered for a few moments, but eventually made the fold and the pot was sent to Emmett.
"Why couldn't you just call me there?" said Emmett to Kolev as he stacked his chips.
