Two Out of Three for Garza

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Raul Garza as the shortest stack raised the button to 250,000 with the {j-Spades}{5-Spades} and chip leader Benjamin Kaupp tossed in calling chips out of the big blind with {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}. No action followed on the {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop and Kaupp check-folded the {8-Diamonds} turn when facing a bet of 250,000 by Garza.

One hand later, Kaupp jammed out of the small blind with the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts} into the big blind of Garza, who couldn't do anything but fold with the {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Garza was the next one to shove for 1,850,000 in the small blind with the {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Ryan Messick asked for a count in the big blind and sigh-folded the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Garza Gets a Shove Through

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

After forfeiting his big blind and small blind, Raul Garza was on the button with a stack of 1,660,000 and pushed all-in. Ryan Messick asked for an exact count and folded in under one minute, Benjamin Kaupp in the big blind snap-folded.

Kaupp limped out of the small blind with the {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Garza checked the option from the big blind with his {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}, which led them to a {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. They checked to the {5-Spades} turn and the {7-Diamonds} river, the latter of which brought a bet worth 160,000 by Kaupp. Within two seconds, Garza's cards went into the muck.

Kaupp's Big Blind Special Gets Messy for Messick

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Ryan Messick limped the small blind and Benjamin Kaupp checked his option holding the {8-Clubs}{2-Spades} to see a flop of {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for free. Messick check-called for 150,000 and the {8-Diamonds} followed on the turn, bringing another check-call for 325,000.

That led them to the {k-Hearts} on the river, which brought a check from Messick once more. Kaupp now bet 625,000 and Messick was sent into the tank. Slightly more than two minutes later, Messick called and Kaupp had the best of it with his two pair.

Garza Doubles Through Messick

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Raul Garza
Raul Garza

Ryan Messick min-raised to 240,000 on the button and Raul Garza defended the big blind, then open-shoved for 470,000 on the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop and earned a snap-call by Garza.

Raul Garza: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Ryan Messick: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Garza was ahead with his second pair and gutshot while Messick had one overcard and the open-ended straight draw at his disposal. The {k-Hearts} turn changed nothing whatsoever and the same applied for the {3-Clubs} river as Garza doubled his short stack.

Messick Chips Up Through Kaupp

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Reduced to a now short stack, Raul Garza folded on the button and Ryan Messick limped the small blind with {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Benjamin Kaupp then raised to 400,000 from the big blind with {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Messick called. They headed to the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop on which Messick check-called for 250,000 and both elected to check the {5-Spades} on the turn.

Messick grabbed into his stack of T-100,000 chips after the {9-Hearts} fell on the river, then bet 650,000. Kaupp pondered about it for half a minute and folded.

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Benjamin Kaupp raised it up to 260,000 on the button with {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and earned a call from Ryan Messick in the big blind with {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Leading to a flop of {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Messick check-called for 175,000 and the {4-Clubs} turn was checked. Messick bet the {a-Spades} river for 450,000 and Kaupp let go.

Kaupp Pulls Way Ahead After Catching Garza Bluffing

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Benjamin Kaupp started the new level with a button and Ryan Messick defended the big blind, which led to the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. Messick check-called a bet worth 175,000 and then check-folded the {a-Clubs} turn to a larger bet.

One hand later, Raul Garza opened to 250,000 on the button and Kaupp called from his big blind. The {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop brought a check by Kaupp, a bet worth 200,000 by Garza and a call. Kaupp check-called a second barrel for 500,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn.

Kaupp came along and did so again for 1,200,000 on the {10-Clubs} river. Garza revealed the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a bluff and Kaupp dragged in the healthy pot with the {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks.

Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

Ryan Messick raised to 200,000 in the cutoff and Robert Cowen then three-bet jammed his short stack of 1,780,000 in the big blind. A quick call by Messick followed and the rails started shouting.

Robert Cowen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Ryan Messick: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Cowen had outs on the {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and {10-Spades} turn but bricked the {q-Clubs} on the river to become the fourth place finisher, padding his bankroll at the end of the 2022 WSOP with another $75,000.

Right after, the level came to an end as the final three players headed into the next break.
