Final Table Action

It was a very slow start to the final table as the majority of the table were between 3,000,000-4,000,000 chips and ICM considerations were relatively evident.

It wasn't until Minakrin scored a massive triple-up against Matthew "Muckdat" McDowell and Trofimov with pocket jacks to establish a lead.

This unlocked the game and eliminations came thick and fast with Jeffery "Steelvikes7" Hoop being the first casualty after running into Trofimov's pocket aces.

That was the start of Trofimov's comeback after losing a chunk to Minakrin earlier. The Moldovan living in Northern Ireland then dispatched Houston "DeadMoney843" White and Matthew "MDInvest" Davis with quad kings in the same hand.

It was the turn of "lewismurray" to go on a tear by eliminating David "Iamyorfather" Gonzalez in sixth place and shortly after busting "CA_MTNeer" in fifth place by hitting trip-nines on the flop.

Minakrin eliminated McDowell in fourth place after turning a set of tens then Trofimov out-kicked Australian "lewismurray" with two pair to set up the heads-up match with Minakrin.

It was a tight and tense affair heads-up as both players started with around 28 big blinds. It took over half an hour of play for Minakrin to come out on top by hitting trip-jacks on the flop and win the prestigious WSOP bracelet.
