Welch Getting Short

Level 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Philippe Souki raised to 1,100,000 in early position and was called by Robert Welch in the big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Welch check-called a bet of 900,000 from Souki.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Welch checked again. Souki sized up a bet of 2,600,000 this time and that was enough to get Welch out of the pot.

On the next hand, Jeffrey Farnes raised to 1,100,000 in the cutoff and Welch called from the small blind. The flop fell {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Welch check-called a bet of 650,000 from Farnes.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Welch led out with a bet of 1,400,000. Farnes raised to 3,500,000 and Welch was forced to send his cards to the muck once again.
