Welcome Back for Day 5 of Event #70: $10,000 Main Event World Championship
There will be 380 players returning to their seats for Day 5 of Event #70: $10,000 Main Event No-Limit Hold'em World Championship with plenty of familiar names still in the hunt. The action will resume at 12 p.m. local time inside the Bally's Event Center surrounding the feature tables.
Leading the way after a spectacular run at the end of Day 4 is Taylor von Kriegenbergh (5,305,000) who is starting to make a name for himself as of late. Despite his only seven-figure cash happening way back in 2011, von Kriegenbergh has recently returned to the live felt, dabbling in plenty of high rollers. For years, the American poker pro was solely playing online, including a 23rd-place finish in the 2020 WSOP Domestic Main Event.
He has plenty of company near the top of the leaderboard as Dan Colpoys (4,835,000), Johan Schumacher (4,600,000), and Aaron Mermelstein (4,285,000) are just some of the names following close behind. There are also plenty of women remaining in the field looking to cement their place in history. Loni Hui and Gaelle Baumann may be two of the most recognizable faces but it is Shelby Wells (3,840,000) who earned her spot near the top of the leaderboard.
