Peter Neff Eliminated in 4th Place ($58,089)

Level 33
Peter Neff
Peter Neff

Big O

Peter Neff in the small blind bet 250,000 and was called by Bradley Anderson in the big blind.

The flop of {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} lit a powder keg of action. Anderson bet 450,000 and Neff bet the pot to go all in for 2,300,000. Anderson made the call.

Peter Neff: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Bradley Anderson: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}

Anderson had top pair and had an up and down straight draw. Neff had two pair and the nut low draw.

The {k-Hearts} on the turn gave both players a Broadway gut-shot, but the {a-Diamonds} on the river gave Anderson aces and queens for two pair, as well as giving Anderson a low of {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{a-} to eliminate Neff in fourth place.

Anderson Builds on His Lead

Level 33

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Scott Abrams raised in the cutoff and was three-bet by Bradley Anderson in the small blind. Barny Boatman called in the big blind and Abrams called as well to create a 1,800,000 pot before a flop was even dealt.

That flop came {5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Anderson continued his aggression by leading out. Both his opponents called to see the {7-Clubs} fall on the turn.

Again Anderson bet and was called in both spots, with 3,600,000 now in the middle for the board pairing {7-Diamonds}, ensuring their would be no low half of the pot.

All three players checked and Anderson showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and sevens with an ace kicker. No one had a seven, and Anderson's hand would be the winner to take down the meaty pot and boost his newly found chip lead.

Anderson Doubles Through Neff

Level 33
Bradley Anderson
Bradley Anderson

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Peter Neff bet 250,000 in the cutoff and was called by Bradley Anderson on the button.

Neff checked to Anderson after the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop who bet 325,000 and was met with a pot-sized bet from Neff which was enough to put Anderson all in. Anderson let out "What are you doing to me Peter?"

Anderson looked at their partner on the rail, then looked to the heavens and made the call.

Bradley Anderson: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Peter Neff: {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Anderson was ahead with pocket aces, but Neff had a wrap. The runout was safe for Anderson as the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} completed the board to give Anderson a flush to complete the double up and leaving Neff short.

This is Anderson's second WSOP final table after finishing 5th in the Millionaire Maker in 2014.

Neff Gets a Big Fold From Boatman

Level 33
Peter Neff
Peter Neff

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Barny Boatman raised on the button and was called by Peter Neff in the big blind.

On the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, Neff-check called a 400,000 chip bet from Boatman to see the {2-Spades} fall on the turn.

Neff checked again, and Boatman cut out a bet of 1,000,000.

After some deliberation, Neff moved all in for approximately 3,800,000 total.

Boatman stood up and gave his decision a lot of thought, before ultimately tossing his cards to the muck and sending over 1,500,000 chips across the table to Neff.

Abrams Gets Paid With Boat

Level 33

Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Peter Neff bet 220,000 from the cutoff and Scott Abrams called from the big blind.

Both players checked the flop of {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The {7-Hearts} on the turn encouraged Abrams to bet 450,000 which was called by Neff.

The {7-Clubs} on the river paired the board and Abrams fired once more for 750,000. Neff went deep into the tank and eventually called and mucked his hand immediately when Abrams turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for sevens full of jacks to take the pot.

Boatman Doubles Through Neff in Another Huge Pot

Level 32
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

Big O

The PokerNews reporting team isn't sure what the players at the final table had to eat during their dinner break, but whatever it was, it's led to them firing away with some huge pots.

The latest saw Scott Abrams raise to 200,000 in the cutoff, then Peter Neff call on the button, before Barny Boatman made it 800,000 to go from the big blind.

Both opponents called and over 2,400,000 was already in the pot.

The players all checked the {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop, but on the {7-Spades} turn, Boatman moved all in for his last 1,850,000. Abrams quickly folded, but Neff had a decision.

After a couple of minutes of deliberation, he called to risk a huge portion of the stack he'd just won by eliminating Men Nguyen.

Barny Boatman: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Peter Neff: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Boatman's two pair of kings and queens were the best made hand, but Neff had a massive wrap, flush, and low draws.

The river however, brought the {7-Hearts}, bringing Neff none of his world of outs and sending the monstrous pot to Boatman, while suddenly putting Neff on the shortest stack of the final four players.

Men Nguyen Eliminated in 5th Place ($41,377)

Level 32
Men Nguyen
Men Nguyen

Big O

Men Nguyen has been eliminated from the tournament in stunning fashion following a massive 1-2 combo punch from Scott Abrams and Peter Neff.

First, Abrams raised pot to 240,000 in the small blind and was called by Nguyen in the big blind.

Abrams then check-called a bet of 400,000 from Nguyen on the {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop.

On the {7-Hearts} turn, Abrams checked again, then after a pot-sized bet of 1,360,000 from Nguyen, Abrams moved all in, with Nguyen holding a bit over 1,700,000 behind.

Nguyen frustratedly folded to preserve his stack.

On the very next hand however, Nguyen raised the pot (240,000) from the small blind and was called by Neff in the big blind.

Nguyen quickly potted the {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop and Neff then moved all in for the rest of Nguyen's stack. The seven-time bracelet winner called and was shockingly at risk.

Men Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Peter Neff: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

After the dealer dropped the {q-Hearts} on the river, Nguyen's two pair of aces and nines were second best to Neff's aces and jacks, and in two fell swoops, Nguyen went from four million chips to zero and was headed to the payout window.

Big O

Mark Erickson moved all in for 225,000 from the cutoff and was called by Barny Boatman in the small blind. Scott Abrams in the big blind bet the pot for 1,102,000. Boatman decided to keep his powder dry and folded.

Mark Erickson: {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}
Scott Abrams: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Abrams flopped a set and turned a boat on a board of {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and with no qualifying low, Erickson heads to the exit in sixth place.
