Robinson Finishes off Moneymaker

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After taking the majority of Chris Moneymaker's chips not long ago, Andrew Robinson completed the job and eliminated the 2003 Main Event champ in a recent hand.

After Jonathan Therme raised to 60,000 in early position, Robinson three-bet to 160,000 to his immediate left. Moneymaker then moved all in from late position and everyone folded to Robinson, who called.

Chris Moneymaker: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Andrew Robinson: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}, giving Moneymaker a set to take a stranglehold on the hand, but Robinson still had a gutshot Broadway draw.

Then just as he did in their previous encounter, Robinson indeed outdrew Moneymaker, drilling the {10-Diamonds} on the turn.

The river {5-Hearts} couldn't save Moneymaker, and despite holding large percentage leads in back to back hands with Robinson, he dropped both to be sent to the rail.
