Allen Chips Up In Three-Way Action

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

"I screwed it up on the flop and shouldn't have flatted," Jason Viriyayuthakorn whispered when all was done and dusted. In a three-way pot there were more than 300,000 in the pot to the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} river on which Viriyayuthakorn checked the river. Sterling Allen moved all-in for 9,000 out of the big blind and Matt Vengrin called, then called the raise to a full bet by Viriyayuthakorn.

Allen tabled the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for trips eights to win the high pot while Viriyayuthakorn's {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} chopped the main pot for the low and won three quarters of the tiny side pot against Vengrin's {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.
