Zolotow Makes a Straight
Level 8
: 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio opened to 3,200 from middle position and and was called by Steve Zolotow out of the big blind.
Zolotow checked on a flop of and then called after D'Ambrosio tossed out 700, saying it was "just a little feeler". Though technically an illegal bet, no one at the table alerted the dealer to this fact and play continued to the turn.
The turn put three to a straight on the board and Zolotow checked for a second time. D'Ambrosio did not slow down, sizing up to 5,000. Zolotow again flatted.
Action checked through the river and Zolotow turned over for the turned straight, good enough to take down the pot. The river may have cost him some value, however, a point he made as he raked in his newly acquired chips.
