Seven for Sullivan

Level 31 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Jeffrey Lo jammed in the small blind and was called by the shorter stacked Timothy Sullivan in the big blind.

Lo, with {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}, had Sullivan's {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} dominated but the at risk player found the double following the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds} runout.

Bruschi Rivers Flush

Level 31 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Timothy Sullivan opened to 500,000 from the button and was called by short stack Renan Bruschi in the big blind.

It checked down to the river for the board to read {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Bruschi bet 1,000,000 which left him with 125,000 behind. Sullivan shoved and Bruschi flicked in the last of his chips.

Bruschi tabled his {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a flush while Sullivan had {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} which was no good.

Hellmuth Ramps Up the Aggression

Level 31 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth raised to 550,000 from the cutoff and Jeffrey Lo defended the big blind. The flop came {3-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Hellmuth took down the pot with a 600,000 bet.

"Are you from London?" Hellmuth asked Lo after the hand.

"Hong Kong," Lo replied.

"You play good," Hellmuth continued.

Hellmuth won the next pot with a preflop raise of 700,000, showing {a-}{k-}, before he limped in and went heads up with David Jackson. The flop came {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and a bet by Hellmuth was enough to get Jackson to fold.

David Jackson opened to 400,000 from the button and Phil Hellmuth called from the big blind.

Hellmuth check-raised to 1,400,000 on the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop after Jackson 400,000. He called.

Hellmuth checked the {3-Clubs} turn which prompted Jackson to jam as the covering stack. Hellmuth instantly called.

Phil Hellmuth: {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
David Jackson: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Jackson flopped two pair but failed to fill up as the {9-Clubs} came on the river for Hellmuth to scoop.

"Show 'em the Smoke!"

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Soon after busting Richard Scardina, Jeffrey Lo was involved in another big pot, this time against David Jackson.

Lo raised to 400,000 from the button and Jackson defended his big blind. Both players checked the {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop.

Jackson checked again on the {j-Spades} turn as Lo put in 400,000. Jackson called to see the {4-Hearts} fall on the river.

Jackson this time led into Lo with 1,700,000, sending his opponent into the tank for a few minutes before Lo flicked in a chip to call. Jackson showed {8-Spades}{5-Hearts} for the rivered straight to take the pot.

"Let's go Easy! Show 'em the smoke!" Jackson's boisterous supporters yelled from the rail.
