Deeb Busts McGowan, Then Gives Him a Lesson

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jonathan McGowan defended his big blind against a raise from Shaun Deeb and saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

McGowan checked, then potted all in when Deeb bet. "I have no pairs," Deeb said as he called.

"I have a pair," McGowan said, showing {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Deeb had {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

The {j-Diamonds} turn gave Deeb a flush as McGowan was left drawing dead by the {q-Diamonds} river.

"He decided to check-pot instead of lead. You have to lead if you have the blockers. I thought you knew how to play," Deeb told McGowan as the two of them burst out laughing.
