Monnette and Ivey on the Rail
The cards were all scooped up as Ben Yu dragged in the pot with what appeared to be at least a pair of aces in a Seven Card Stud hand to eliminate Phil Ivey. On the way out, Ivey was greeted with a "hey Phil, do you want to double it?" by Eric Wasserson.
Apparently, ten minutes ago Wasserson had bet with Ivey for an undisclosed amount in a last longer competition including himself versus Ivey, John Monnette and Amnon Filippi. Since Monnette also busted, it is now one versus one.
"But Phil is clever, he will probably bet me something to get the money back easily," Wasserson concluded.
There is also another last longer competition running in this tournament as well. As usual organised by Allen Kessler, it attracted 49 entrants in total who are all competing for an additional boost to their bankroll and around half of them are still in the mix.
