Moorman Takes Huge Lead

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

A player under the gun opened to 300,000 and was called by the cutoff. Alexander Burton moved all in for 1,400,000 from the button only to see Chris Moorman re-jam out of the small blind. Both the under the gun and cutoff players folded and Burton was at risk.

Alexander Burton: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic race until the {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop put Moorman into the lead. Burton did have a flush draw but unfortunately for him the {j-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river failed to improve his hand, sending him to the rail just shy of the final three tables. Moorman, meanwhile, has opened up a large gap at the top of the chip counts.

"You're a Wild Man"

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

With close to 5,000,000 chips in the middle the board read {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Luis Pauyac-Martinez had all of his chips across the line for a bet of 2,030,000.

John Perry was deep in the tank and after some time passed the clock was called. The floor gave him a count down and his hand was declared dead as he didn't act. Pauyac-Martinez instantly showed {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours as he dragged the massive pot.

"You're a wild man!" said Perry. "That's a sick bluff."

"Uncle Ron" Hinkle Triples; Covert Eliminated

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Mason Hinkle
Mason Hinkle

Robert Covert, Alan Gendelman and Mason "Uncle Ron" Hinkle had all got their chips in the middle before the flop and Hinkle was at risk for 1,230,000 while Covert was at risk for roughly 1,800,000.

Robert Covert: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Mason Hinkle: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Alan Gendelman: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, pairing Hinkles ace and the {8-Diamonds} turn and {a-Clubs} river improved him to trip aces as he tripled up. Gendelman's pocket jacks were good for the side pot as he eliminated Covert from the tournament.

Burton Catches Heat

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alexander Burton shoved from late position and was called by Eric Rivera out of the small blind.

Alexander Burton: {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Eric Rivera: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Burton was behind and would need help to survive. That help came on the {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and the {9-Clubs} turn kept Burton ahead. The {j-Diamonds} improved Burton to a full house as he exclaimed, "That is the best thing I've seen!".

The very next hand Burton found himself all in again, this time against Phong Nguyen.

Alexander Burton: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Phong Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

This time Burton had his opponent dominated and after a clean runout of {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts} he went from being one of the shortest stacks in the room to tournament average in the span of a couple hands.

"Can we go for the hatrick?" Burton wondered aloud. It was not to be, however, as he folded his next hand preflop.

Moorman's Queens Get Paid

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

Chris Moorman raised to 240,000 in early position and Daniel Pickering called a couple of spots to his left.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Moorman check-called a bet of 140,000.

The {j-Clubs} hit the turn and Moorman checked to Pickering who checked back.

The {4-Hearts} landed on the river and Moorman fired out a bet of 345,000. Pickering went in the tank for almost two minutes before putting in the call. Moorman tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Pickering pushed his cards towards the dealer.

Marcus Score Double Knockout

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Daniel Marcus
Daniel Marcus

James Long shoved his short stack into the middle from under the gun and Daniel Marcus called from late position as did a player on the button.

On the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop Marcus continued for 450,000 and was called to generate a sidepot.

The {5-Diamonds} turn saw Marcus move all in and his opponent went into the tank before ultimately making the call.

James Long: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Button Player: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Daniel Marcus: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Marcus was ahead with top two pair but the player on the button had both the nut flush draw as well as a gutshot. The river bricked out, however, sending a large pot Marcus' way and eliminating two players.

Ramirez Flops Quads; Eliminates Navarrete

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
James Ramirez
James Ramirez

James Ramirez raised in early position and Daniel Navarrete three-bet jammed for 1,235,000 next to act. The action folded back around to Ramirez as he went in the tank for about a minute. Eventually, Ramirez dropped some blue chips across the line to make the call.

Daniel Navarrete: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
James Ramirez: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Ramirez was in trouble until the flop came {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, giving him quads. The {7-Hearts} hit the turn, sealing the fate for Navarrete and the {3-Hearts} river was just a formality as Navarrete headed to the payout desk.
