Kitai Takes a Seat and Busts

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Davidi Kitai, three-time WSOP winner, just took a seat in this event a few minutes earlier and three-bet to 4,500 after a raise from the cutoff. The latter four-bet to 11,500 and Kitai called.

The flop fanned {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts} and both Kitai and his opponent checked. A {8-Diamonds} showed up on the turn and Kitai led out with a bet worth 3,500, called by the cutoff.

On the {q-Diamonds} river, Kitai thought about his move for a minute and shoved for 10,000. His opponent called and Kitai revealed {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens, but only to see {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} in his opponent's hand and the Belgium player left the tournament area.
