Simonian Stuns Kim in Wild Fashion

Level 31 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

With just three hands remaining in Day 3, Wooseok Kim open-jammed from early position and John Simonian snap-called from the big blind with just 50,000 fewer than Kim.

John Simonian: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Wooseok Kim: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Kim received the dream {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop to have Simonian drawing to just two outs. Simonian was halfway out the door on the {5-Clubs} turn.

The river, however, was the {q-Hearts} sending the table and onlookers into a frenzy while Kim buried his head in his hands.

Though Kim was able to spin up with {6-}{4-} vs. {3-}{3-} in the following hand, he was not able to bag as his {10-}{3-} failed to hold vs. {7-}{6-} on the last hand of the night.
