Zobian Takes One to Katz

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Aram Zobian opened to 6,000 and Cary Katz called next to him. It folded to the player in the big blind who called as well.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and it checked to Zobian who continued with a small bet of 3,000. Both Katz and the big blind called and a {a-Hearts} appeared on the turn. This time Katz bet 10,000 after it was checked to him and only Zobian stayed in the pot.

The river brought the {j-Spades} and both players quickly checked. Katz tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a pair of aces but the pot was sent to Zobian who held {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a set of fives.
