Cherish Andrews Eliminated in 6th Place ($74,680)

Level 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Cherish Andrews shoved in her short stack in the hijack and Stephen Song isolated in the small blind.

Cherish Andrews: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Stephen Song: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop put Andrews ahead, and the {3-Clubs} turn improved her to a boat. A double for her looked imminent until the {q-Clubs} spiked the river to give Song the better boat as the table roared.

"So sick," Song said.

The two biggest stacks at the table got into it when Aleksandr Shevliakov opened in late position. Alex Kulev three-bet jammed in the small blind for 15,000,000 and Shevliakov called off with a stack of 10,000,000.

Aleksandr Shevliako: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Alex Kulev: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Shevliako was dominated by the ace-king of Kulev and didn't improve as the board ran out {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Shevliako was eliminated in seventh place while Kulev picked up a huge pot that significantly boosted his chip lead.

Segura Finds Unlikely Triple

Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Arturo Segura
Arturo Segura

Arturo Segura open-shoved for 1.3 million from early position, Aleksandr Shevliakov raised to 2.1 million from middle position, and Marc Lange jammed for 5.1 million from the cutoff. Alex Kulev tanked on the button but eventually folded, and Shevliakov also folded.

Arturo Segura: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Mark Lange: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Segura needed help and the flop came {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The {3-Diamonds} turn gave him some more outs with a straight draw, and he converted that draw on the {6-Hearts} river.

"Yes!” Segura said as he gave a clap of his hands upon the unlikely win, which gave him more than triple his stack thanks to the dead money and the blinds.
