Gavasci Makes Quads to Double

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

William Chewning raised to 420,000 and was called by Scott Hall in the small blind before Martin Gavasci moved all in from the big blind. Chewning called and Hall got out of the way.

Martin Gavasci: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
William Chewning: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Gavasci hit trips on the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop, then improved to quads as the {a-Hearts} fell on the turn. The river came the {3-Diamonds} and Gavasci won the pot. Chewning believed he was eliminated and stopped to take a picture of the board, but a recount showed he had Gavasci covered by 420,000.
