Day 2 of Event #58: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em begins at 10:00 a.m local time and 490 players will return to the felt to battle it out.

This year’s event drew in 1,893 entries which created a total prize pool of $1,684,770 with first-place walking away with $255,623, in addition to the coveted bracelet. 234 players will walk away today with a guaranteed minimum cash prize of $1,499.

Leading the way into Day 2 is Farhad Davoudzadeh who bagged an impressive 414,000 chips with Stephen Schneider starting the day second in chips, with a stack of 300,000.

The Super Seniors event attracted some of the best 60-and-over poker players from around the world. Some notable names that made it to Day 2 looking to add to their bracelet collection include Barry Greenstein (42,300), Sam Farha (204,100), and Barry Shulman (94,500).

Day 2 action will have a 10 a.m. restart with play resuming at Level 11 where binds will be 1,000-2,000 with a big blind ante of 2,000. The Super Seniors will play ten 60-minute levels with 15-minute breaks after every two levels. They will get a 60-minute dinner break after the Level 6 which will be at approximately 6:45 p.m. local time.
