Lau Makes a Big Call

Level 31 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 900,000 and Ka Kwan Lau called to the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop.

Lau checked and Deeb's continuation bet of 1,000,000 was called. Both players checked the {6-Hearts} turn and Lau checked {10-Clubs} river and Deeb fired a bet of 1,500,000.

Lau took more than three minutes and made the call, showing {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for top pair. Deeb was holding {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours, but it was no good and Lau added an important pot to his stack.
